Mathematical Algorithms for the Calculation of ATC for Non-PTF Facilities under Schedule 21 –GMP
Pursuant to 18 CFR 37.6(b)(1)(i) of the FERC Regulations Transmission Provider’s are obligated to calculate and post TTC and ATC for each Posted Path.
Planning HorizonATCF = (TTC-CBM-TRM-ETCF)
ATCNF = (TTC-CBM-TRM- ETCF- ETCNF )
ATCF = (TTC-CBM-TRM-ETCF)
ATCNF = (TTC-CBM-TRM- ETCF- ETCNF + PostbacksNF)
ATCF = 0
ATCNF = TTC
GMP would perform the above calculations for its non-PTF internal interfaces. These calculations are consistent with the ISO calculations for Available Transfer Capability. TRM and CBM for GMP’s non-PTF posted paths are zero.
(i) Posted Path is defined as any control area to control area interconnection; any path for which service is denied, curtailed or interrupted for more than 24 hours in the past 12 months; and any path for which a customer requests to have ATC or TTC posted. For this last category, the post must continue for 180 days and thereafter until 180 days have elapsed from the most recent request for service over the requested path. For purposes of this definition, an hour includes any part of any house during which service was denied, curtailed or interrupted. GMP does not currently have a Posted Paths based on the above definition.
