Time Magazine recognized GMP as a Time100 Most Influential Companies of 2022.
In 2024, Mercy Connections named Mari the recipient of its Catherine McAuley Award, for her community leadership and service. Mari has been featured in Time Magazine and the New York Times for groundbreaking work to transform the electric grid to a resilient, affordable, and sustainable system for all communities across the state. Mari also served as Chair of Vermont Governor Phil Scott’s Pandemic Employer and Technical Support Team and was named one of Business Insider’s Top 100 People Transforming Business in 2021 in the sustainability category. McClure has been recognized for her innovative leadership as a Top 100 Women Impact Leader for 2021 by Real Leaders Magazine, and top 20 C-Suite Sustainability Champion by GreenBiz in 2020.
Mari stepped into her current role at the start of 2020 after leading transformational work across the company in various roles over a decade. Before GMP, Mari worked as a corporate lawyer for Downs Rachlin Martin in Burlington, Vermont.
Mari earned her law degree from the University at Buffalo School of Law in 2006. She was also a standout NCAA Division I basketball player at the University of Buffalo from 1997-2001, where she was captain of the team for two seasons.
