Sunny Days Ahead!

Did you know that the sun emits enough energy in one hour to provide the planet with all of the electricity that it needs for an entire year?  That right, an hour! And that big, red glowing ball of fusion energy is forecast to continue producing clean, low cost energy for several billion more years!  Here at GMP, like most Vermonters, we love the sun.  And as a B Corporation that is committed to being a force for good, we think that all of that clean solar energy is an opportunity that’s too good to pass up.

We’ve got our best and brightest Engineers and Technologists working on the changes that are needed to Vermont’s century-old electrical grid so that Vermonters can harvest clean, renewable energy from the sun.  We’re building partnerships with companies like Tesla and Sonnen, so that Vermonters can store energy and use it when the sun isn’t shining.  Our Energy Innovation team has launched new products and services like eHomes, air-source heat pumps, and heat pump water heaters that reduce the dependence on fossil fuels and allow Vermont homes to use technologies that are designed to take full advantage of low cost, clean, renewable energy sources.

In a nutshell, here at GMP, we love the sun; some would say we’re obsessed with it.  We’re on a mission to transform how Vermont uses energy and are confident that we’re on a path to help Vermont meet its goal of generating 90 percent of  its energy from renewable energy sources by 2050.
