Your local GMP distribution designer will help you with your project. Check out the steps belowto keep your project on track.
New overhead or underground electric service line extensions:
- Meet with your local GMP distribution designer at your location. They will determine the work needed for your project. You can find their contact info to schedule an appointment by using the online distribution designer directory.
- For telephone lines, please contact your phone company.
- We will provide cost estimates, specification sheets, agreement, and easements.
- Return the following forms to your distribution designer:
– Estimate and payment
– Easements (signed by you and/or abutting property owner and notarized by a notary public), if applicable
– New Electric Service Agreement
– Note that the prices quoted in the agreements are valid for 90 days, and could change if the application and payment are returned to GMP after that. If you have any questions regarding the paperwork, please contact your distribution designer. - Schedule service inspection. Once we have the above items from you, and your electrician has completed installing the meter socket, your designer needs to inspect it.
- Get connected. When the customer requirements have been inspected and completed in keeping with Vermont Electric Service Requirements (add link to document ), your distribution designer will schedule the GMP crew to connect you.
