Your local GMP distribution designer will help you with your project. We extend service to buildings that are permanent – houses, manufactured homes, garages, barns, and businesses, for example.
Connecting a permanent structure:
- Meet with your local GMP distribution designer at your building site. You can find contact info for your local designer here to make an appointment for them to visit. They will determine the construction work required to serve you. Please bring your completed Customer Information Sheet to the appointment.
- We provide you with cost estimates and specification sheets.
- You return these service forms to us:
– Cost Estimate and Payment
– State Electrical Energizing Permit (completed by a Vermont licensed electrician in commercial or rental applications). Note that the prices quoted in the agreements are valid for 90 days, and could change if the application and payment are returned to GMP after that. - Schedule service inspection. Once we have the above items from you, and your electrician has completed installing the meter socket, your local GMP distribution designer needs to inspect it.
- Get connected. When the customer requirements have been inspected and completed in keeping with Vermont Electric Service Requirements (add link to document), your local GMP distribution designer will schedule the GMP line crew to connect you.
If you have questions at any step, your designer can help, or call us at 888-835-4672.
