These programmable chargers can “fuel” your vehicle in a few hours, and are compatible with our discount EV charging rates, too. 

GMP will give you a free Level 2 Charger ($600 value) to install at home and use while you’re a GMP customer enrolled in the Home Charging program. It delivers more charge in much less time – providing about 25 miles of range in in hour!

The EV charger apps allow you to remote start and stop charging, schedule and track your charging usage and manage your settings to fit your lifestyle.

The charger needs to be Internet connected, and as part of the program, customers share access with GMP during peak demand on the grid. Your charger helps drive down costs for all GMP customers!

What are the requirements for a Level 2 Charger from GMP?

To receive your Level 2 charger you need to:

  • be a customer of GMP;
  • be enrolled in the GMP Home Charging Program;
  • own your home;
  • have reliable internet access; and
  • the vehicle Bill of Sale and Vermont registration must have your active GMP account address.

How long does it take to completely charge my car battery?

Your car should take approximately 4-6 hours to charge, and will depend on the size of the battery in the car.

How much will I save with this home charger?

Installing the charger will save you time and money!  Driving an electric vehicle can save you $1,200 or more on maintenance costs, and you will save on fuel costs as charging an EV is the equivalent of paying about $1 per gallon of gas. GMP’s new discount EV charging rates help you save.

Is this system compatible with all home electrical systems?

Yes, as long as installation of the electrical outlet meets the required specifications.

What’s the best time to charge my EV?

The best time to charge your EV is later in the night or early morning, avoiding peak energy time.  This will help keep costs down for everyone.
